About Katie Tunn
Katie Tunn is a London born artist who studied Fine Art at Central St Martins. In 2015 she relocated to the Isle of Skye where she now works in a home studio overlooking the sea.
Adventurous and creative, Katie has a keen eye for the beauty in nature and aims to challenge wider perceptions about how we interact with wildlife and our planet home. Her explorations, both physically and creatively, have led to her organic abstract artwork having a deep sense of energy and wholeness.
Katie is an active volunteer in marine conservation and this, along with her island home, is reflected in her artwork. Her latest circular 'Blue Planets' series of paintings are inspired by the colours of the Hebridean seas, the patterns of Scottish geology and the movement of water and clouds in the night sky.
Also working with drawing and installation art, Katie is constantly inspired by the natural world around her.
