Painting auction benefits Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

Matt Smith, Director of Loxley was delighted to hand over a cheque for £1,940 to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice last week, as part of Loxley's "Artists for Charity" initiative.

Bluebell Wood supports around 250 families who have a young member with life-shortening or life-threatening illness.  With highly dedicated staff and over 350 volunteers, they deliver a wide range of services such as short breaks, end of life treatment and care, emergency admissions, counselling, home visits and activity therapy sessions.  90% of their funding comes from donations and charitable grants.

The "Artists for Charity" funds are raised through the sale of designated original paintings with the invaluable support of our many contributing artists.  In October 2018, an Art evening and auction was held at the Kenwood Hall Hotel in Sheffield and Loxley plan to repeat something similar in 2019.  Year-round opportunities to support this worthy cause, whilst becoming the proud owner of an Original Painting are available here online in our dedicated section of the Gallery.  The prices set for all the paintings represent their actual value, with the charity benefiting through the kind donation or subsidy from the artist and Loxley.
